In
the heart of Waldhessen, between Bad Hersfeld and Eisenach,
lies the hotel Hohenhaus. The park-like estate, founded
as a manor in the 16th century, is surrounded by 1680
hectares of private wood- and grassland. Wildcats and
black storks still live here and special orchids and wild
raspberries prosper. Pure nature directly in front of
one of the most beautiful country hotels in Germany. An
oasis for tranquillity seekers and nature lovers.
The "horse stable" built in 1890 by
Rudolf von Schutzbar has gently been cored and redeveloped in 1982 by the Frankfurt
architect professor Jochen Jourdan. In doing so, the
historic façade has been maintained. This jewel of hotel Hohenhaus blends
in harmoniously in the circumjacent park.
The hotel Hohenhaus offers
26 rooms. Each room has been arranged individually and features selected antiques
and authentic kilims. Guests either have a view on the Rotbuchental or in the
Lindenhof.
Tranquillity
seeking individual guests as well as conference guests will enjoy the cultivated
hospitality and the personal service. Make use of cosy lounges for conversations
and your recreation. After dinner the evening is spent mostly in front of the
fireplace.
